The 2025 Parish Retreat
Llangasty Retreat House, Fri 23rd to Sun 25th May 2025
'Praying the Eucharist: On the Road to Emmaus'

After another very successful Parish Retreat at Llangasty in May 2024, we’re delighted to announce that we shall once again be holding the 2025 retreat at Llangasty from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 May 2025. Our retreat leader this year is the Reverend Canon Nicola Stanley, Associate Priest at All Saints, Clifton and her theme will be: 'Praying the Eucharist: On the Road to Emmaus'.
The cost is £230 for the whole weekend and includes accommodation and all meals - breakfast/lunch and dinner. As always, the retreat will follow a scheduled programme based around the daily offices and a number of presentations. However, nothing is compulsory (!), and retreatants can choose entirely what they want to join in with. Some just use the time to rest, and Llangasty is the most wonderful place to do just that; either taking a walk in the grounds or surrounding countryside, relaxing with a book or just sitting in the lounge or on the terrace, looking out at the wonderful view over Llangors Lake.

Our parish retreats are always silent, which - if you're new to retreats - can seem a bit strange at first. However, many find that it is a welcome change from the constant clamour of day-to-day existence and very quickly appreciate the peace and calm and opportunity just to 'be'. In addition, silence is only kept from after supper on the first night to before lunch on the Sunday, and people are more than welcome to chat when they're outside in the grounds.
