Baptisms
Baptism is a unique, special celebration, thanking God for the gift of life and publicly acknowledging God’s love. Baptism is a ‘sacrament’: a visible sign of God’s love.
If you are thinking of getting your child baptised (also known as being christened) at All Saints, then we will be happy to join with you in thanking God for this gift of life, and in supporting you as you start your child on the journey of faith.
Baptism marks the start of a journey of faith and becoming a member of the local and worldwide Christian family.
First Steps:
The first steps are to fill in this form and return it to the church office to make contact so that we can arrange to meet, book a date and discuss the details of this special event. Before this meeting you might want to think through questions such as:
-
What range of dates would I like to work towards if possible?
-
Would I like the baptism to take place during a Mass, or in a smaller private service?
-
Would I like to book any of the rest of the church's rooms afterwards for refreshments?
If you would like to give thanks for the gift of your child, but are not sure whether Baptism is the right step at this stage, then Thanksgiving services are also available and can be discussed. The first step would be to
contact the church office.
