St John's Primary School
Church of England
All Saints is the foundation church for St. John’s School and enjoys a close connection with this wonderfully happy, caring, and energetic Church of England Primary School in the heart of Clifton and Redland.
Led by Headteacher, Justin Hoye, the school has an inclusive, modern, and vibrant vision, respecting all religions and world views - with the core belief that there are no limits to how highly children can achieve. All Saints Church enthusiastically supports the school’s Christian ethos of inclusivity, openness, service, and nurture, with Fr. Charles Sutton regularly leading services for St John’s children, both at school and within the church.
The school frequently visits to All Saints Church for events, such as the wonderfully celebrative End of Year Service, the annual Carol Service, and a special spring-time Easter Service, along with other projects where school and church work together. St John's also enjoy a valuable resource for RE teaching, providing both an opportunity for our children to expand their understanding of Christianity and a springboard for drawing parallels with other religions.
St John’s is a school with unbounded aspirations, a place where teachers challenge and inspire children, nurturing them to become confident, independent and resilient individuals. Through a holistic, child-centred approach to teaching, there is a shared commitment to develop young people as lifelong learners and become the very best people they can. At St. John’s everyone can learn, have fun, and feel safe and cared for, every day.
Both School and Church are places of energy; open, active, living, and inclusive; reaching out to any and all who live in the city of Bristol.
