Act of Remembrance for Armistice Day
Friday 10th November at 10.45am at St. John's War Memorial, Whiteladies Road, Clifton
Traditionally on the 11th November, this year's event is held on Friday 10th, so that schools may attend,
It is a time when we remember all those who gave their lives and whose lives were irreparably damaged in the Great Wars, and in conflicts across this worlds since then. This year marks 70 years since the fighting in the Korean war - frequently termed 'The Forgotten War' - came to an end.
Everyone is welcome to gather at the St. John's Memorial Whiteladies Road by 10.45am on Friday 10th November to participate in this moving Act of Remembrance.
Flowers and Music for Remembrance
Saturday 11th November, 2.00-3.30pm at All Saints Church
Enjoy watching Michael Bowyer, internationally renowned floral artist and Creative Director of Flowers at Salisbury Cathedral, along with fellow colleagues, create Remembrance-themed flower arrangements. They will be accompanied by beautiful music and singing provided by John Davenport, Director of Music at All Saints, and associated musicians - all in the unique setting of All Saints Church.
Michael works using a sustainable approach, so as well as enjoying his stunning designs and watching as he puts them together, you can pick up ideas to use in your own arrangements. After the demonstration there’s an opportunity to talk to the artists, visit the stalls to find out more, and enjoy complimentary tea or coffee and homemade cake.
For more information and for a timetable of the afternoon's events, please see the Eventbrite web page
here.
Tickets £12.50 - available in advance online via the
Eventbrite web page or you can buy tickets on the door on the day (cash only)
The event is free for all carers, personal assistants and essential companions

Parish Mass for Remembrance Sunday
Sunday 12th November - 10.15am gather at the ASC War Memorial
We gather at the All Saints' War Memorial outside church at 10.15am to hear a list of names of those from our Parish who lost their
lives in the two Great World Wars - uniformed service people and non-combatants, alike.
We also remember all those who have died or who have been in any way affected by wars since then, up to and including the present day.
A wreath will be laid at the War Memorial and we shall observe a two minute silence.
When you go home, tell them of us and say
For your tomorrow, we gave our today.
