All Saints Gets Gold!
We are delighted to announce that All Saints has been given a ‘Dementia Aware Organisation Gold Award’ by Bristol Dementia Action Alliance (BDAA), in recognition of all the work we have done and continue to do, helping to raise awareness of dementia within our community. Some of the Friends Together Café Team (Helen, Heather, Robert, Wendy and Linda) were present at the BDAA Awards’ Ceremony on Wednesday 28th September and were thrilled to receive the All Saints’ Gold Award on behalf of church, presented by the Lord Mayor of Bristol.
The Friends Together Café and our work in the dementia arena are a core part of our commitment to connecting with and transforming our community, and central to All Saints’ mission as a church. The BDAA Gold Award very much reflects our links with and the work we do with our community partners which include local businesses, VCFSE (Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise) sector organisations, as well as local health care and social care providers.
BDAA is one of our key community partners, and we have worked closely with them for many years. We’re proud to support the work they do, their goal being to make Bristol the dementia Friendly city in the UK! Have a look at the BDAA website to learn more about their wonderful work across the City.
