Let's Talk Dementia 2025
17th May 2025 - Watershed, Bristol
Let's Talk Dementia is an annual event, and a one-stop, free, public information event for all things dementia, bringing together experts from across the South West in care, health, research, legal matters and much more.
This year's event took place at The Watershed, Bristol on Saturday 17th May, and Sue, Remie, Hazel represented Friends Together Cafe on our stall, along with much valued transport help from Judy and Richard!

Seb Choudhury and Alex Lovell from ITV News West Country opened the event, which included six talks from experts on a wide range of subjects, twenty exhibitors and an activity room for people living with dementia. Most importantly, the voices of people living and caring for people with dementia were heard, loud and clear.
The event offered something for everyone - those living with dementia, those caring for a loved one, or simply those keen to learn more about a condition that will affect one in two people in their lifetime. Take a look
here to see the day's full programme of events.
The event was organised by three leading Bristol charities specialising in dementia, research, and improving the lives and care of older people:
Visitors were able to meet the experts, have their pressing questions answered in a friendly setting, and also to spend time with other families in a similar situation as themselves. Visitors left Let’s Talk Dementia armed with knowledge and new ideas about how best to support their loved ones, and themselves.
Friends Together Cafe was proud to be a part of the 2025 event, and we look forward to being there again in 2026!
